Special 2 DAY WORKSHOP with SCOTT ROBERTSON

Come join us on Saturday, October 8th-9th from 10:30am-6:10pm for special weekend series of lectures by Scott Robertson who was the founding chair of Entertainment Design department at Art Center College of Design and President of Design Studio Press.
He will present his educational knowledge developed over the last 15 years of teaching at Art Center College of Design as well as guest lecturer at various colleges and companies around the world.

Topics to be covered include insights into Scott’s design processes, methodologies, and fundamentals of rendering form with value and how to render reflective materials in Photoshop. During the weekend Scott will reveal as many of his design techniques, and rendering tips + tricks as he can over the course of the 12 hours of combined lectures. It’s sure to be packed with enough industrial/entertainment design insights for professionals and students alike to keep your head spinning well into the holidays!

Fee: $200 general / $160 for students with valid student ID

30 min color comp was done in class using shape tool and texture brushes.

and refined the sketch on my own time.

This two image was created for kratos flash back sequence. I had basic template given from imaginary force. I had fun creating these images cause never get to do stylize art.

I went home and touched up the painting about 2 more hrs.
I'm still not too satisfy what i have but as you can see the
painting i added more colors to it. I think painting fatory could be really fun.
to bring out subtle colors. like( red,blue, yellow, orange)

here's week 10 demo. i got inspired by after looking at dinosaur bones. i always thought it will be cool if people are living inside of decade bones.. after demo i touched up another hour to refine it!

and many of people were asking me whats my wip. well here's some of wip that i put together.i hope this helps. i start out very abstract shape and start finding my paiting. i'll try to post more when i have chance. thanks for looking. and thanks for your support.

otis 8th week class exercise and personal work

this weeks class exercise was doing some organic environment! bottom painting was done in class

(i hr sketch) every body had to use same refernce that we got from the class!it was cool to see every bodys work and what they come up with using same refernce! it also helps you when you concepting any painting. adding different objects. and top painting was done for fun using same reference.

this week we went over doing interior environment! first we had to design nice

inspire me to do sci space ship. since im working on greek mythology every day.

some thing different=) . still need lot of work but it was fun painting it!
